How do I work

Humanistic Counsellor in the Guildford,Farnham area
I use three different psychological models in my work with clients, from the Humanistic school of practice: Person-Centered, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. I also use CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Solution-Focussed Therapy in my work.

I believe that it is our working relationship that is most important in helping you work through what's brought you to counselling. I work to 'best practice', these values are important to me:
  • Confidentiality is of primary importance
  • Attending regular clinical supervision sessions
  • Having a network of like-minded counsellors for referral
  • Keeping my skills up to date with regular training
  • I hold a clear, current CRB check (Criminal Records Bureau)
  • I believe that you do not need to attend counselling for longer than is healthy and necessary for you to achieve your goals.
In 2008 I achieved BACP Accreditation. This means that the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists recognise I have achieved a high level of BACP training, best practice and counselling experience.
